Who we're looking for

There’s no typical CMG consultant. Perhaps you'll be coming from a Big 4 consultancy and looking to broaden your retail transformation experience with varied clients and roles. Or you might be working in industry where you have the in-depth knowledge and perspective to make a real difference. What you will have, though, is adaptability, drive, great consulting skills and bags of enthusiasm for the retail and consumer sector.

Typical Roles at CMG

Principal Consultant

As principal consultant you will project manage all phases of the program and be accountable for the timely delivery of the project. Principal consultants nurture and manage the talent within their team, as well as having to tackle some of the tougher business problems. You will participate in service proposition, business development work and thought leadership.


With 2 – 5 years experience in consulting, change management or relevant industry experience; you will be responsible for identifying issues, forming hypotheses and helping with the implementation of change. You may be a specialist in your field – e.g. retail, merchandising, supply chain, training etc.


Joining a consulting firm as an analyst is the typical entry point following graduation from university. As an analyst you'll spend the majority of time on the client site, having responsibility for part of the problem-solving process. You'll support a team of consultants in research, data collection and analysis, as well as taking part in training and development programmes.
